About Me
Hi, I’m Vanshika
As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I am passionate about helping individuals find clarity, confidence, and peace in their lives. I have extensive experience working with students, young adults, and people of color who are navigating a variety of challenges.
I aim to integrate a deep understanding of cultural identity complexities and systemic inequalities into my practice.
Where do I specialize?
I specialize in helping individuals overcome challenges such as anxiety, depression, negative self-concept, and self-esteem issues. Many of my clients feel pressure from cultural expectations, imposter syndrome, or difficulty setting boundaries.
I have experience working with clients struggling with more specific mental health concerns such as OCD, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder.
My Approach?
My approach is compassionate and client-centered. I integrate evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Exposure Response Therapy while tailoring sessions to your unique experiences and strengths. I have additional training in Polyvagal Theory, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy.
As someone who has navigated the complexities of cultural identity and belonging, I understand the importance of feeling seen and understood in therapy. I bring empathy, warmth, and cultural sensitivity to every session.
If you’re ready to start therapy or have questions about my approach, I’d love to hear from you. You can book a FREE 15-minute consultation. Let’s take the first step together!
Outside of the office
I really enjoy reading fiction and watching dystopian shows/movies, I love hearing recommendations from clients. Spending time with friends and family is my favorite way to unwind and connect with others. Additionally, I really value travelling, working on my physical health, and learning more about our complicated brains.
