About Me
Hi, I’m Prapti
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) supporting teens, young adults, adults, and older adults navigating anxiety, trauma, self-confidence, relationships, identity, and life transitions.
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe to be yourself, understood without judgment, and supported in creating meaningful change. As a first-generation Indian-Canadian and woman of colour, I understand how culture, family expectations, and identity can shape our experiences. I bring a compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach to help clients feel seen, supported, and empowered throughout their healing journey.
Where do I specialize?
I work with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves, even when they appear to have everything together. You may be experiencing anxiety, selfdoubt, emotional exhaustion, or the impact of difficult past experiences.
I support clients navigating identity, relationships, life transitions, burnout, grief and loss, self esteem concerns, and the challenges of balancing personal needs with family or cultural expectations. I have a special interest in supporting individuals as they heal from past experiences and work toward creating a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.
My Approach?
My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I believe you are the expert of your own story, and therapy is a space to better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and create meaningful change.
As a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, I incorporate trauma-informed practices alongside evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness. Therapy is a space for reflection, healing, and growth. Life doesn’t come with a user manual, and the “figure it out as you go” approach can be a little exhausting. Book a free 15-minute consultation to see how therapy can support you.
Fun Fact About Me
I spend my days helping clients unplug, but my weekly screen time report still personally attacks me every Sunday.
